OPEN POSITION: ASSURANCE MANAGER

Baker Holtz has a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced, team-oriented individual to fill the role of Assurance Manager. We are looking for an experienced individual to work 40 hours per week during the busy season and potentially part-time the rest of the year. This position will focus on detail and sub review of our audit and review engagements, as well as some training within the accounting department. The Assurance Manager will also plan, coordinate, monitor, and review compilation, review, and audit engagements for privately held clients; be involved in various accounting consulting projects; and be a major part of our peer review team.

JOB DUTIES

· Plan, coordinate, monitor, and review compilation, review, and audit engagements for privately held clients.

· Sub review and some detail review of audit and review engagements.

· Research technical accounting and auditing issues.

· Supervise, develop, train, and mentor staff in the accounting area.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s degree is preferred but not required

· CPA designation

· 5-7 years of related public accounting experience

· Prior experience must include:

o Planning, coordinating, supervising and executing compilation, review, and audit engagements in compliance with applicable SSARS, GAAS, GAAP and other regulatory requirements

o Effective written and verbal communication skills

o Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
